After falling short in the Western Conference Final yet again, the Dallas Stars entered the offseason looking to potentially make some changes. Dallas has a solid core in place but the team just hasn’t been able to get over the hump.

The front office is now tasked with building a roster to win the Stanley Cup, and that could see them make some drastic changes. One major change that could be coming involves star Jason Robertson.
Robertson is in line for a new contract, and it has been rumored that Dallas may not be willing to pay him big money. With this thinking, it has led to all sorts of trade rumors involving Robertson.
Some have speculated that the Stars could trade Robertson this offseason to avoid any issues during the season. And now we have another update on the Robertson front.
According to NHL insider Jeff Marek, it seems that the Stars could make a decision on Robertson sooner rather than later. Marek has been one of the more plugged-in people on the Robertson news, and it seems something is coming down the pipeline.

If the Stars do trade Robertson, he has been linked with the Anaheim Ducks in the past. Anaheim could offer the Stars a few quality prospects, and it would be something that Dallas would likely consider.

Robertson is one of the better young players around the league, but Dallas is skeptical of paying him for some reason. Last season, he scored 35 goals and 45 assists for the Stars.
