The St. Cloud Norsemen are based in St. Cloud and are a part of the USA Hockey National Junior Development Program. The team works closely with the NCAA College Hockey program, as well as the NHL, to help young players develop their skills and abilities, in hopes of becoming professional hockey players in the future.
Right now, the St. Cloud Norsemen are inviting you to be a Billet family!
WHERE DO THE PLAYERS COME FROM?
The players, who range from 17 to 20 years of age, come to St. Cloud from all over the US and Canada, as well as internationally. They will be arriving here in St. Cloud at the end of August, and you could be a Billet Family during their stay!
WHAT DO YOU DO AS A HOST BILLET FAMILY?
Billet families host players during their stay, beginning in August, for a 9-month period of time. They are sort of like your new live-in sons you never knew you had, except they are really, really into hockey. Host families receive season tickets for all Norsemen home games, special recognition nights, and get a housing stipend to offset the cost of food for the players they host.
WHY ARE BILLET FAMILIES NEEDED?
When it comes right down to it, these kids are still kids. They still need guidance while they are visiting and training in St. Cloud, and you can provide them a home away from home; inviting them into your life while they are here; making sure they have a warm place to sleep, food to keep them fueled during their busy season, and a family support environment.
The Norsemen organization is looking for families that really want to provide these young adults with the local support they need as their home away from home. Who knows? You might be the Billet family of next Kirill Kaprisov!

CREATING LIFELONG RELATIONSHIPS
By being a host family, your family members can create lifelong relationships with these players in your shared love for hockey. You’ll also be supporting the Norsemen Coaches and staff, and by doing so, receive that monthly compensation to cover your expenses.
The NAHL currently has 35 teams that play in four divisions, including Central, East, Midwest, and South. This year, the league is celebrating its 50th season of hockey excellence.
