NASHVILLE — Two teams with differing goals get set to meet up in the Music City on Monday night as the Ottawa Senators pay a visit to the Nashville Predators.

Like in years past, the Senators came into the 2024-25 season with expectations to at least challenge for a playoff spot, but stumbled out of the gate. However, behind solid goaltending and some timely goals, the team has clawed its way back into postseason contention. Following a 6-0 win over the Minnesota Wild on Saturday, Ottawa has moved up to third in the Atlantic Division, five points back of first place.

The Predators are singing a much different tune. Despite making numerous moves this past offseason to acquire big names like Steven Stamkos and Jonathan Marchessault, Nashville has been nothing short of disappointing. With losses in four straight games, the Pres sit seventh in the Central Division, 14 points out of a Wild Card spot.
