Defenseman Matt Dumba popped up on the Pittsburgh Penguins official website roster on Thursday, an indication that some sort of deal has been struck with the Dallas Stars. There has been no official announcement, and there are no further details yet, although there are some reports that the Stars will receive defenseman Vladislav Kolyachonok.

Dumba, 30, right-handed shot and a veteran who has played for four NHL teams, has 84 goals, 258 points in career 737 games. He would bring a physical presence to the Penguins’ blue line.

He was originally selected in the first round, seventh overall, by the Minnesota Wild in the 2012 draft.

Last season with the Stars, Dumba had a goal, 10  points and 60 penalty minutes in 63 games.

Kolyachonok played in 12 games with the Penguins last season, with two assists, after being picked up off waivers from the Utah Mammoth.
