After Logan Mailloux, defenseman Noel Hoefenmayer is now leaving the organization, as he has just signed a contract in the KHL.”Defenseman Noel Hoefenmayer, who spent most of last season with the Laval Rocket, has signed a one-year deal with HK Sochi in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL).”

Quietly, Mailloux and Hoefenmayer were the two cornerstones of the Laval Rocket’s defense, especially on the power play.

This is another major loss for the organization and for Pascal Vincent.

Noel Hoefenmayer Packs His Bags and Leaves the Canadiens Organization to Sign in the KHL

The Laval Rocket confirmed the news, taking care to thank Hoefenmayer for his services.

We join the Rocket in wishing him all the best in his future endeavors.

Noel Hoefenmayer, 26, is a 6-foot-1, 204-pound left-handed defenseman who was selected in the fourth round of the 2017 NHL Draft by the Arizona Coyotes (108th overall).

This season with the Laval Rocket, he recorded 14 points in 32 games, along with two more points in six AHL playoff games.
