One TSN analyst reveals the most that the Maple Leafs will get for Calle Jarnkrok and David Kampf once they finally pull the trigger and trade them.The Toronto Maple Leafs are doing their best to navigate a very tough summer after losing Mitch Marner to the Vegas Golden Knights.
What the Maple Leafs Can Expect to Get for Calle Jarnkrok and David Kampf
“[Calle Jarnkrok] is still a good player in the league, that can play. David Kampf can play. There’s going to be a market for him to play somewhere in the league — there’s 32 teams… if [Dakota] Joshua is getting a 4th [round pick], that’s what you’d expect at best if you’re going to move off of both of those guys.”
It seems unlikely that the Leafs even get a 4th round pick for either player at this point, more likely a 5th rounder. However, with Jarnkrok putting up 20 goals a couple of short seasons ago, perhaps if added to a package, he can help yield a bit of a better return.
As far as Kampf goes, Hayes mentioned the San Jose Sharks and Chicago Blackhawks as a couple of NHL clubs who might make sense for the Czech forward. Both teams happen to be rich in draft picks, so parting with a 4th or 5th rounder is not out of the realm of possibility.
