During the offseason, Brandin Podziemski turned his attention away from the basketball court to take in a hockey game.

Yet, not just any hockey game from any seat. The Golden State Warriors guard went north of the border to be in the building for Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals between the Edmonton Oilers and the defending champion Florida Panthers.

Podziemski made the trip to Alberta, Canada’s Rogers Place, to sit on the glass for Game 5 of the Stanley Cup.

From his seat, Podziemski provided a bit of commentary for the game, including during a goal from Florida wing Brad Marchand.

Despite support from Podziemski, the Oilers had no answer for the Panthers in Game 5. The Panthers dominated the Oilers on their way to a 5-2 win in Game 5 while securing a commanding 3-2 lead in the series.

The Panthers will have the chance to lock up the Stanley Cup for the second straight season with a win back in Sunrise, Florida on Tuesday evening in Game 6.
