The Ontario Reign have re-signed forward John Parker-Jones to a one-year deal, it was announced Wednesday.
A product of Brantford, Ont., Parker-Jones wrapped up his first season in the Los Angeles Kings’ system in 2024-25, splitting time between the Reign and the ECHL’s Greenville Swamp Rabbits. Having turned pro at the beginning of the 2022-23 season, Parker-Jones has gotten into 23 career AHL regular season games with the Reign and the Laval Rocket. In that time span, he has collected two goals and three points.
Before heading off to Laval, Parker-Jones played his junior hockey for the GOJHL’s Brampton Bombers and the OHL’s Peterborough Petes as well as one year in U Sports with the University of Windsor.
With Parker-Jones rejoining the Reign, he could have the opportunity to see more games with the team in 2025-26. Having impressed with the Swamp Rabbits, the 6-foot-7 forward has the skill and size needed to make an impact at the next level.
