The 20-year-old is coming off his first taste of the NHL this past season after officially signing with the Capitals back in April following his tenure at Boston College. He had one goal in nine games to close out the regular season and added an assist in the postseason, while gaining valuable experience that should benefit him going forward.
Shoulder Check is an #HT40 initiative that advocates for mental health and “inspires young men and women to commit to supporting one another through small acts that have a big impact,” per the website.
The event is sold out, but can be livestreamed here.
