PITTSBURGH, Pa. (WKBN) – The Pittsburgh Penguins will select at No. 11 overall in the 2025 NHL Draft.

The pick became official in Monday’s NHL Draft Lottery. It is Pittsburgh’s first draft pick in the top ten of the draft since 2012.

Pittsburgh entered the lottery with a 5% chance of landing the No. 1 spot, the ninth-best odds among teams eligible to move up to the first overall pick.

The New York Islanders won the draft lottery and will select No. 1 overall in the draft. The Islanders entered the lottery with a 3.5% chance to land the top pick.

The 2025 NHL Draft will take place June 27-28 at L.A. Live’s Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
