A trio of Flames prospects will be bearing the red maple leaf in Minnesota at the 2025 World Junior Summer Showcase.

Forward Cole Reschny and defencemen Zayne Parekh and Henry Mews will be joining fellow Flames prospect Cullen Potter, who will be representing the team USA.

Reschny, like Potter, was a first-round pick at 18th overall this year out of WHL Victoria Royals. He will be heading to University of North Dakota this upcoming season. He has previously represented Canada at the 2023 U17 Hockey Challenge, the 2024 Hlinka Gretzky Cup and the 2025 U18 World Championships.

Parekh, who is looking to be a full-time player this upcoming season, has no shortage of accolades including being named to the CHL First All-Star Team twice. He previously bore the maple leaf at the 2022 U17 Hockey Challenge and the 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup.

Mews was a 74th overall pick in the 2024 draft who is headed to Michigan this fall.  He previously represented Canada at the 2022 U17 Hockey Challenge, the 2023 Hlinka Gretzky Cup and the 2024 Under-18 World Championships. He was the highest scoring defenceman in the Hlinka Gretzky Cup.

The 2025 World Junior Summer Showcase runs from July 27-Aug. 2 in Minnesota and includes teams from Canada, USA, Sweden and Finland.
