Former Vancouver Canucks defenseman Troy Stecher announces life-changing news

According to Rob Williams of Daily Hive, former Vancouver Canucks defenseman Troy Stecher got married to his partner, Emma Vincent, this past weekend in Napa Valley, California.

In the celebrations leading up to wedding day, Troy Stecher was seen at a restaurant with a few of his former Vancouver Canucks teammates including Brock Boeser, Alex Biega and Chris Tanev.

“#Canucks reunion for Troy Stecher’s wedding” Williams said on X.

Stecher, 31, joined the Vancouver Canucks as an undrafted free agent in April 2016 after three seasons with the University of North Dakota, where he was teammates with the aforementioned Brock Boeser in his final year in the NCAA.

The Richmond, British Columbia native spent the first four seasons of his National Hockey League career with the Vancouver Canucks, registering 75 points in 286 games, before becoming a UFA in 2020 after then-GM Jim Benning decided not to issue him a qualifying offer.

Since his time in Vancouver, Stecher has made stops with the Detroit Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings, Arizona Coyotes, Calgary Flames and now, the Edmonton Oilers, where he has one year remaining on his contract.

Everyone here at Canucks Daily would like to congratulate Troy Stecher on his recent wedding and wish him & his wife a life-time of happiness.
