SUNRISE, Fla. (CBS12) — The 2025 Stanley Cup has kicked off with two close games between the Edmonton Oilers and the Florida Panthers. With the series tied at 1-1, the momentum has an opportunity to sway either way as Game 3 will be held in Sunrise, Florida.
So much sits on the table for both teams in regards to this Stanley Cup. For the Panthers, another title would make it two in the last three years. For the Oilers, it adds a tip of the hat to center Connor McDavid, and his stellar career so far.
With the series being knotted up at 1-1, the Panthers are treating this next game like it’s the first. Panthers forward, Matthew Tkachuk, shared his mindset heading into Game 3.

“One-one(1-1) going back home, now we got home ice… (gonna) pretend there’s zeros across the board, ” Tkachuk said. “We got home ice now, let’s take advantage of it.”
For those looking to tune in, Game 3 starts at 8 p.m. EST on Monday, June 9th at Amerant Bank Arena.
