The Sabres rallied back in the final minute against a very good defending team. Matt D’Agostini hustled and ended the game, giving Buffalo a 5-4 win.
Jhonas Enroth played well despite allowing four goals. That may be tough to believe, but if you watched the game, he made some big saves, including a couple shorthanded chances for Boston. It wasn’t his best performance, but Enroth finally gets his second win of the season after dropping his last 13 games.
With Enroth pulled for the extra attacker, Moulson was the one who tied it up in the final minute.
“Really glad to get that one tied up and get the win for Jhonas,” Moulson said.
“You could tell in the dressing room how happy the guys were to get the win for Jhonas,” Nolan said.
Marchand, Lucic and Chara all scored for Boston – the nightmare trio for Sabres fans, but it didn’t matter in this one.
Who knew the Sabres would rally off two straight wins coming out of the Olympic break? Like I said, even if you’re aboard the tank, it’s still nice to see the Sabres earn a win here and there. The last two games have been exciting to watch.
“We’ve been instilling an attitude of team-first, glad to see the team come together for the win,” Nolan said.
What are your thoughts on tonight’s win over Boston?
As always, thank you for reading!
