MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – The Woodman’s Sports and Convention Center will be home to Beloit College’s ice hockey teams, school officials announced on Thursday.
Both the men and women’s teams will be practicing and competing at the facility in Janesville.
Beloit College Athletic Director Dave DeGeorge said he is looking forward to the calling this facility home for both teams.
“For our hockey teams to practice and play at a first class facility is a great opportunity,” said DeGeorge. ”We are very excited to bring college hockey to the stateline area.”
Shane Buckley, Beloit College’s Men’s Ice Hockey head coach, said he cannot wait to bring the community together in this facility.
“The brand new rink will be state-of-the-art, and a great home for the men’s and women’s ice hockey teams,” said Buckley. “We look forward to packing the stands for the blue and gold.”
