With the Vancouver Canucks failing to make all the big moves fans hoped for this offseason, the organization is now turning to Evander Kane to exceed expectations in his first season.

Heading into the offseason, General Manager Patrik Allvin made it point that their priority was to find some major upgrades down the middle in order for last season to not repeat itself in 2025-26.

Other than acquiring Kane and re-signing Brock Boeser, Thatcher Demko and Conor Garland, it has been a lot harder to entice free-agents to want to sign in Vancouver, which now forces the team to look at their current players to step up and exceed expectations.

The main player they will need to be a huge factor is Evander Kane, who if he stays healthy and brings his physicality every night, there is no question threat he can be an X-factor for the Nucks.

Regardless of his off-ice antics, Kane has been a twenty-goal scorer 9 times, and can easily do it again with his new club.

With the team relying on him to step-up big, the power forward needs to score at-least 25 goals and 20+ assists, along with minimizing the amount of penalty he takes in both the regular and playoffs.
