COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – Television stations across North and South Carolina, led by WRAL and FOX 50 in Raleigh, are thrilled to announce an exciting broadcast partnership with the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes.
For the first time, television station groups across the region are bringing the electrifying action of The Carolina Hurricanes games directly to local viewers’ screens by broadcasting two live games during Thanksgiving week. These broadcasts will Provide an unprecedented fan experience for hockey enthusiasts across the region and specifically for the massive Hurricanes fanbase in the Raleigh area.
“This is a milestone moment for Palmetto Sports & Entertainment,” said Robby Thomas, VP & General Manager WIS. “We are thrilled for the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes to be our first major professional sports partners, and we’re looking forward to connecting them with new fans across South Carolina.”
The partnership between Hurricanes and their regional partners is an effort to enhance coverage and accessibility to Carolina Hurricanes fans games across the state. The live broadcasts are set to take place Thanksgiving Week in Raleigh as follows:
Monday, November 25th at 7pm on FOX 50 (50.1)Friday November 29th at 3pm on WRAL (5.1)
The games will also be broadcast in the following markets and stations in North and South Carolina:

With dynamic and exciting hockey action throughout the live games, the broadcasts will also offer pre and post-game coverage through FanDuel Sports Network. Pre-game begins 30 minutes prior to puck drop and offers exclusive behind-the-scenes content and insights into Carolina Hurricanes strategies, players, and the electric atmosphere of live hockey.“
