Moravia defeated Weedsport on Friday, 2-1, in the Cayuga County Field Hockey Tournament championship at home.
Brooklynn Lott and Kae Bouton each netted a goal for the Blue Devils in the victory. Goalie Lucy Coningsby tallied six saves.
The Wolverines’ Kayla Flask finished with one score, while Mallory Brown posted one assist. Goalie Arieanna Giacolone saved six shots.
Cross-country
Southern Cayuga: The duo of Brady Young and Paul Hayden placed third in the boys 2×2-mile relay on Saturday at the fifth annual Corning Relays with a time of 22:18.0. Collin Sweet and Daegan Miller earned 17th with a 26:57.0. In the boys individual 2-mile race, Aidan Jillson placed 14th with a time of 13:24.60, while Keiran Turner took home 36th with a 17:49.46. For the girls, Reagan Binns posted a time of 17:15.73 for 16th in the girls individual 2-mile race. Taylor Bailey and Samantha Morgan recorded a 16:37.0 in fourth in the girls 2×2-mile relay. Placing fifth, the team of Isla Grimaldi and Alexandria Morgan posted a time of 17.10.0.

Port Byron/Union Springs 3, Auburn 0: The Panthers finished third overall in the Cayuga County Field Hockey Tournament with their win over the Maroons on Friday at Moravia High School. Cameryn Brundage, Liliana Berkey and Morgan Cardinell each scored one goal. Raelee McDowell and Berkey came away with one assist apiece. Goalie Chesney Swift totaled three saves. Homer 1, Moravia 0: The Blue Devils were held scoreless Saturday in the third-place matchup of the McGraw boys soccer tournament. Goalie Jack Lemmon tallied 24 saves in the loss.
Union Springs/Port Byron 4, Elmira Heights 1: The Wolves picked up their first win of the season Friday on the road. Aiden Wilde, Mitchell Martinez, Travis Stuart and Jack Gregory each netted a goal. Wesley Van Orman and Jackson Solfiell both dished out assists. Goalie Lucas Walawender came up with one save.
Girls soccer
Homer 5, Auburn 1: Anna LeFevre scored the Maroons’ lone goal in their loss on the road Thursday in the Sports Boosters Kick Off Tournament at Fabius-Pompey. LeFevre and defender Madeline Wolfgang each earned a spot on the all-tournament team.
Fabius-Pompey 4, Auburn 2: The Maroons fell in the first round of the Sports Boosters Kick Off Tournament at Fabius-Pompey on Wednesday. LeFevre netted the team’s pair of goals.
Volleyball
Skaneateles 3, Central Square 0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-20): Quinn Reilly racked up 17 total points, six digs, two blocks and one assist on Friday in the Lakers’ away win. Delaney Fish finished with 18 assists, four digs and three points, while Carly Schell had 5 points, 11 digs and four assists. Chloe Alexander and Maddie Mayer tallied 5 and 4 points, respectively.
