With the Edmonton Oilers’ offseason all but done, all that remains for the team is to prepare for the start of training camp in about two-weeks, with the roster Stan Bowman has built.

After falling short in the Stanley Cup Finals for two consecutive campaigns, Stan Bowman made significant roster adjustments to improve the team.

This influx of younger players is expected to increase the team’s speed and improve forward depth and competition at camp.

Stuart Skinner remains the primary goaltender, currently entering the final year of his contract. However, his performance has been inconsistent, leading to speculation about the team’s long-term strategy in goal and the possibility of pursuing an upgrade.

The net effect of these roster adjustments enhances the team’s speed, defensive play, and potentially addresses the inconsistency in goaltending, as they gear-up for another run at the Stanley Cup in the upcoming 2025-26 season.

However, the success of these moves remains to be seen and will heavily depend on the performance of the new additions and the play of Oilers’ core-players.
