NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The 2025-26 season is less than a month away and the University of Notre Dame hockey team has revealed the full slate, as the program unveiled the Big Ten Conference schedule Tuesday.

The conference calendar consists of three home series in the first half of the year, including the Big Ten opener October 31-November 1 as the Irish host rival Michigan for a two-game series. The fall also includes home series against Michigan State (November 14-15) and Wisconsin (December 5-6) to close out 2025. Notre Dame’s lone conference road series comes early November as the Irish are slated for a two-game series at Minnesota, November 7-8.

After a non-conference home-and-home series with Western Michigan to open the new year, the Irish will spend two consecutive weekends on the road visiting Big Ten foes in Michigan (January 9-10) and Penn State (January 16-17).

The Irish then return home to host Ohio State January 23-24.

February’s slate consists of road series at Wisconsin (February 6-7) and Michigan State (February 19-20) intermixed with a home stand against Minnesota (February 13-14).

Notre Dame closes out the regular season home series when they host Penn State February 27-28 inside Compton Family Ice Arena.

The final regular season series is set to be played March 5-6 as the Irish travel to Columbus, Ohio, to take on the Buckeyes of Ohio State for a Thursday/Friday series.

New for this season, the coaches voted last month on a new postseason schedule which features a single elimination format throughout. The Big Ten Playoff Quarterfinals will be held March 11 while the Big Ten Playoff Semifinals will take place March 14. The Big Ten Playoff Championship will take place March 20 or 21, depending on campus site. All three rounds will be hosted on campus sites.
