The Minnesota Vikings are having their 2025 NFL Season Opener on Sunday as they take on the Atlanta Falcons. Not only will the game be on national television, NBC, but there will also be various activities for fans to do before kickoff, including a free concert for anyone interested in coming. With everything that is scheduled to take place on Sunday, here are the top-3 things you should know before attending Sunday’s game at US Bank Stadium.
Free Concert Outside Featuring Russell Dickerson
The Minnesota Vikings are expecting quite a few Vikings fans to start their gameday experience several hours before kickoff, as they are hosting a free concert for fans. Country artist Russell Dickerson will be performing before the game on the US Bank Stadium Commons.
The concert is absolutely free to attend, and you don’t need to have tickets to the game later that night. The outdoor concert and preconcert festivities will begin at 2pm, with the gates opening, and then Russell is expected to hit the stage at 4:30pm. You can get more information about the concert here.Â
Know What You Can Bring Inside The Stadium & What You Can’t
There is nothing worse than showing up to an event and having to turn back and head back to the car because you aren’t allowed to bring in something. Not only do you then have to walk to the car and back again, it can be mildly embarrassing depending on what you have on your person.

The Vikings have made it pretty easy for fans to know what they can and can’t bring into the stadium; you can see the full list of prohibited items here.Â
It’s Been An Emotional Week For Many Of Us…Be Kind
No matter your political beliefs, the murder of Charlie Kirk on Wednesday in Utah was emotionally draining for many, plus Thursday was the 24th anniversary of September 11th.
Add on to that other stresses that are going on in people’s lives, like jobs, bills, etc. Going to a Vikings game should be a fun experience for everyone in the stadium, even the opposing fans. When you are at the game or at one of the other events before the game, take a moment to take a deep breath, relax, and have fun.
No one wants to go viral for all the wrong reasons at a sporting event like the ‘Phillies Karen’, or the Rams and Texans fans brawling last weekend.
