Mack will also participate in the Calgary Flames’ Prospect Camp next week. The former Penn State defenseman played from 2021 to 2025 with the Nittany Lions. He served as the team’s captain last season when Penn State made it to its first-ever Frozen Four appearance. In the process, he played 149 games and recorded 11 goals and 54 assists during his four seasons at Penn State.
The Calgary Wranglers, who play in the AHL, are the affiliate team of the NHL side, the Calgary Flames. Formerly known as the Stockton Heat, the Flames relocated their affiliate team to Calgary in 2022, where they changed their team’s name to the Wranglers. In their three seasons of existence, they have won one division title and a regular-season title.
Mack and the Wranglers will begin the 2025-26 season in Colorado on Friday, October 10, when they take on the Eagles.
