The Sabres have dropped the first two games of the Challenge, losing 4-2 to the New Jersey Devils and then 7-5 to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday. The Sabres are averaging 3.5 goals per game while allowing 5.5 goals per game.

Pittsburgh Penguins

Tristan Broz was drafted 58th overall by the Penguins in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft. Last season in 59 games at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, he had 37 points on 19 goals, 18 assists, and was a minus-seven. In two playoff games, he had a goal and two assists; he was a plus-one.

Buffalo Sabres

Riley Fidler-Schultz has two goals in the tournament so far. In 51 games at Rochester in the AHL last season, he had 26 points on 13 goals, 13 assists, and was a plus-one. In eight playoff games, he had three points on a goal, two assists, and was a plus-three.
