‘This is where I want to be’: Penguins’ Sidney Crosby voices stance amid trade rumors

Last week, Pittsburgh Penguins fans’ ears perked up when potential trade conversations surrounding Sidney Crosby started swirling. On Monday, Crosby addressed those conversations, speaking on his stance after his agent mentioned to a news outlet about him “leaving Pittsburgh always being a possibility.”RELATED VIDEO: Penguins miss playoffs again: Sidney Crosby talks about end of season, April 2025″There’s a lot of narratives out there, and I don’t think a lot of them have come from me,” Crosby said Monday. “This is where I want to be, I love it here. And I can’t keep answering the same question over and over again because of these narratives. If people want to write about that or say that, that’s fine, but I can’t really control that.” He continued, saying, “My stance hasn’t changed, but circumstances have, so I get that I have to answer those questions, but I think he knows it’s tough having to go through that and the losing on top of it,” Crosby said. Crosby said that for those who know him, they know just how much Pittsburgh means to him. “The support I felt since day one, the relationships that I formed here, the memories, the teammates, the fans. I mean, you go down the list. I’m so grateful and thankful that I’ve had the opportunity to play here for as long as I have, and I think anyone that knows me knows what the city means to me, how special it is,” Crosby said. He continued, saying, “I don’t take those rumors or some of those things lightly, so, like I said, this is where I want to be.
