This is the first training camp since 2015 not run by coach Mike Sullivan, and the Penguins begin their transition phase with 37 forwards, 24 defensemen, eight goalies, and five injured players.
On Wednesday, the team made official that forward Robby Fabbri signed a professional tryout agreement. He joined Cal Burke, Brett Murray, Jake Livingstone, and, of course, goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury, who will play one period on Sept. 27 and retire a Penguin.
Penguins general manager Kyle Dubas will update the status of the injured players, including Noel Acciari, Rutger McGroarty, 2024 second-round pick Tanner Howe, and 2025 first-round pick Bill Zonnon (22nd overall) on Thursday morning.
