A rather complex situation has just occurred involving a young player from the Montreal Canadiens organization.
Arseni Radkov, who was literally in front of the Canadiens’ net just a few days ago, is being forced to return home immediately due to a passport issue.
Let’s recall that just a few days ago, Kent Hughes and the Canadiens reassigned Radkov to the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada in the QMJHL, and it was expected that he would immediately continue his journey there.
However, there’s now a new challenge.
Arseni Radkov must return home
This will be a situation to keep an eye on for the young goalie Radkov.
“Even though the 18-year-old goalie has played outside of his home country in recent years, he would not be exempt from mandatory military service.”

As mentioned by Armada general manager Olivier Picard, we really hope this gets resolved quickly, but it’s clear there is concern about this matter right now.
This is a very big situation to watch!
It’s certain that the Montreal Canadiens (and Armada) management are eager to see Radkov back in Blainville-Boisbriand as soon as possible.
Arseni Radkov, 18 years old, is a 6-foot-4, 194-pound goalie who was a third-round pick of the Montreal Canadiens in 2025 (82nd overall).
He posted a 3.18 goals-against average and a .918 save percentage in his most recent season in the MHL (in 19 games played).
