With the NHL season on the horizon, Fanatics just dropped the Chicago Blackhawks centennial jerseys.
The jerseys honor 100 years of history and tradition that has made the Blackhawks one of the most notable teams in the NHL. The Blackhawks will debut the centennial jerseys at their home opener on Saturday, Oct. 11 against the Montreal Canadiens.
The limited-edition jerseys feature nods to several Blackhawks Centennial milestones including strokes of gold around the Blackhawks crest and numbers on the back, a centennial shoulder patch, a vintage lace-up collar and an inside hem showcasing the six Stanley Cup victory years.
“The Blackhawks sweater has consistently been voted the best jersey in sports by players and fans alike. For our Centennial season, we wanted to honor that iconic symbol of Chicago’s hockey heritage that has remained largely unchanged since 1955,” Blackhawks Chairman and CEO Danny Wirtz said in a release.
