San Jose Sharks star forward Macklin Celebrini was not on the ice for the second day of training camp.

Celebrini participated in the first day of camp in full before, but wasn’t made available to the media following the skate. The Sharks said the 19-year-old center wasn’t feeling good when he came off the ice on Thursday.

That prompted the coaching staff to send home the franchise centerman early in an effort to get him to feel better. GM Mike Grier didn’t seem too worried about the status of the San Jose Sharks’ No. 1 center.

Celebrini had been on a line with Will Smith and Jeff Skinner. Ty Dellandrea skated in place of Celebrini during the on-ice portion that Celebrini missed.

Ty Dellandrea appears to be in Celebrini’s spot with Smith and Skinner on the wings. We will have an update on Celebrini’s status when coach Warsofsky speaks later #SJSharks— Max Miller (@Real_Max_Miller) September 19, 2025

Celebrini once again won’t be made available to the media on Friday, but was in the building. There will be an update coming shortly, either from the team or head coach Ryan Warsofsky.
