Detroit Red Wings News & Notes:

This will be the first time the Red Wings will take to the ice in Grand Rapids since the last time this game was played back in 2011. It is the fifth Red & White Game in the franchise’s history. It’s also the fourth since the Griffins became Detroit’s American Hockey League affiliate in 2002. The game will consist of two 20-minute periods, followed by a shootout.

Amadeus Lombardi last season in 44 games with the Griffins in the AHL recorded 40 points on 19 goals and 21 assists. He was a -13 with five power-play goals and four game-winning goals.
