The Calgary Flames aren’t sending much star power to Abbotsford, B.C., for Wednesday’s exhibition against the Vancouver Canucks.

By our count, the road roster only includes four or five lineup locks.

That doesn’t mean there’s not plenty of intrigue as the Flames continue their auditions.

Rory Kerins, who has piled up three points in a pair of pre-season appearances so far, will aim to extend his scoring streak. That’s certainly one way for an up-and-comer to make a positive impression.

Sam Morton will continue to push for an opportunity to open the season as the Flames’ fourth-line centre.

Ivan Prosvetov, after earning the ‘W’ on Sunday in Edmonton, will be aiming to pull ahead in the backup battle. He is expected to go the distance between the pipes.
