Brady Tkachuk always is the centre of attention in Ottawa because he leads this club into battle nightly.
This season, the Senators captain will be one of the players featured in the Amazon Prime Video behind-the-scenes series Faceoff: Inside the NHL.
The show will help document the club’s trip to the playoffs for the first time in eight years, with Tkachuk playing a key role, plus his trip to the 4 Nations Face-Off with Team USA.
Tkachuk and his family were on hand on Wednesday at the Cineplex VIP at Lansdowne in the afternoon for the screening of the first episode of the series, which will be released on Oct. 3 on the online streaming platform.
Fans and media were invited to be part of the event.
Amazon described the first show in the series in a press release as being centred around Tkachuk.
“Brady Tkachuk starts this season with big skates to fill as the little brother of the reigning Stanley Cup Champion, Matthew Tkachuk,” the release said. “He ends the season as a face of the NHL, a father, and his own man.”
Tkachuk will be featured in the second season along with Sidney Crosby, Anze Kopitar, Seth Jarvis, Brad Marchand, William Nylander and Zach Werenski. The series is six episodes long.
