Two Atlantic Division foes clash in Game 2 of their NHL Eastern Conference Playoff series, as the Ottawa Senators look to even the series after dropping Game 1 to the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Toronto took Game 1 by a landslide, winning 6-2 on the strength of three power-play goals, despite being outshot 33-24 for the game. After a relatively calm first period that saw the Maple Leafs take a 2-1 lead behind goals from Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Mitch Marner, the game (and tempers) got out of hand.
Seven second-period penalties led to two Toronto power-play goals (John Tavares and William Nylander scored), culminating in a later-period fight between Brady Tkachuk and Scott Laughton. The contentious atmosphere worsened in the third period, with Dylan Cozens getting a 10-minute misconduct penalty at 13:05, followed by another fight at 19:16, resulting in 11 roughing penalties.
Ottawa didn’t lose to Toronto a single time in the regular season, winning all three matchups, with two of them on the road.
This is a great NHL Playoff matchup that will not disappoint; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
