Brett Seney, Cavan Fitzgerald, Andrew Perrott, Paul Ludwinski, Taige Harding, Dmitry Kuzmin, and Ryan Mast have been sent down to the AHL. The timing of the move makes sense, as the IceHogs open training camp on Sunday morning in Rockford.
Seney, Fitzgerald, Mast, Ludwinski, Harding, and Kuzmin each spent time with the IceHogs during the 2024-25 season. Mast, a sixth-round pick of the Boston Bruins in 2021, signed an AHL deal with Rockford this summer. None of the seven players were contending for NHL roster spots.
The Blackhawks’ training camp roster is now down to 42 players, including 24 forwards, 12 defensemen, and six goaltenders.
