Jones was placed on waivers Monday with the purpose of sending him to AHL Iowa.
Jones notched 13 goals and 36 points in 49 games with Minnesota’s top minor-league affiliate during the 2024-25 regular season. However, he didn’t pick up a point in 26 NHL regular-season outings while contributing 51 hits.
