In a social media post on Monday evening, the Vancouver Canucks shared that forward Nils Hoglander underwent surgery to fix a lower-body injury he was dealing with and will be out for eight-to-ten weeks.
“General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that F Nils Höglander underwent successful lower body surgery, out 8-10 weeks.” the Canucks said on X.
After having the difficult season that he had in 2024-25, going from a career-high of 24 goals all the way down to eight, Nils Hoglander worked extremely hard this summer on the ice to prepare for a bounce back year.
Nils Hoglander’s recovery timeline would see him be eligible for a return to the Vancouver Canucks’ lineup at the earliest on Wednesday, November 26th as the club begins a four game road trip against the Anaheim Ducks.
However, if he happens to be out for the full ten weeks, which is entirely possible at this point depending on how he recovers & his rehab goes, the Bocktrask, Sweden native might not be back in action until Monday, December 8th against the Detroit Red Wings.
