Hunt was placed on waivers Tuesday for the purpose of being assigned to AHL Calgary.
Hunt produced 16 goals and 49 points in 49 regular-season appearances for the Flames‘ top minor-league affiliate in 2024-25. He has appeared in 33 NHL games over the last two regular seasons. Assuming he clears waivers, he could earn himself another promotion to the big club this campaign.
