McBain (undisclosed) isn’t expected to play in Thursday’s preseason game against the Kings, per Catherine Bogart of Utah’s official site.
McBain is considered day-to-day, so he might still be an option for Saturday’s exhibition clash versus San Jose. McBain recorded 13 goals, 27 points, 78 PIM and 291 hits across 82 outings with Utah in 2024-25. Once healthy, McBain will likely occupy a bottom-six role.
