Calgary Flames forward Jonathan Huberdeau did not take part in the team’s skate Thursday after exiting Wednesday’s loss to the Vancouver Canucks with an injury.
Flames general manager Craig Conroy said after the session that Huberdeau was still be evaluated.
Martin Pospisil, who also left Wednesday’s game, was on the ice for practice Thursday. He took Hubedeau’s spot on a line with Matt Coronato and Morgan Frost.
Pospisil left the session early after taking a stick or puck up high. MacKenzie Weegar was also the victim of an upper-body blow, but stayed on the ice.

Huberdeau left the 8-1 blowout with an undisclosed injury after crashing into the net. He was down on the ice for a few minutes before he was able to skate off under his own power.
Huberdeau collided with Canucks goaltender Kevin Lankinen while trying to corral a puck. He appeared to knock helmets with Lankinen before taking an awkward fall into the goalpost.
Huberdeau, 32, scored 28 goals and finished with 62 points last year with the Flames, his third in Calgary. He has been unable to recapture the form that allowed him to score a career-high 112 points in 80 games in his final year with the Florida Panthers in 2021-22.
The Flames open their regular-season schedule on Oct. 8, in a battle against the Edmonton Oilers.
