Detroit Red Wings prospect Eddie Genborg scored his second goal of the season for Timra in SHL action. Parked in his usual location at the opposition net front, Genborg redirected a shot into the net on a Timra power play.

The left-winger Detroit selected 40th overall in the 2025 NHL entry draft has two goals and two assists through eight games. Both of his goals have come on the power play. Each of his assists has been a primary assist.
Genborg continues to win fans within the Red Wings organization with his gritty play and determination in puck and board battles.
Larionov’s Job On The Line?
Former Red Wings star Igor Larionov could soon be out of work if there isn’t an immediate change of fortune for SKA St. Petersburg, the KHL club he coaches.
According to reports in the Russian media, if SKA loses the team’s next two games – on Monday at Lokomotiv and on Wednesday at Avtomobilist – Larionov will be given his walking papers.
SKA has lost its last three games in a row. The team is seventh in the Western Conference with 12 points in 11 games.
Already this season, two KHL coaches have been fired.
Assist For Red Wings Prospect
Another prominent KHL club is also struggling. CSKA Moscow has lost five of its last seven games.

They fell 3-1 on Friday to Metallurg. Red Wings 2022 draftee Dmitri Buchelnikov assisted on CSKA’s only goal. He has 3-4-7 totals this season.
Pulkkinen Has Last Laugh
They booed former Red Wings forward Teemu Pulkkinen when he took the ice with Kiekko-Vantaa for Friday’s game at Jokerit. They booed him every time Pulkkinen touched the puck.
It was Pulkkinen who had the last laugh, though. He netted a hat-trick, scoring the winner in overtime as Kiekko-Vantaa won 3-2.
“I have to say that this game was exciting,” Pulkkinen, 33, told Finnish website Ilta-Sanomat. “I had been waiting for this match. Everything that has been happening around this game and me. This was a special game.
“This will go down in my career as one of the games that I remember, even if I didn’t score goals. Now this was an especially great game.”
Pulkkinen, who played for the Red Wings from 2013-16, began his pro career with Jokerit. He’s been under fire since returning to his homeland. Pulkkinen was the only Finnish player who continued playing in the KHL after Russia invaded Ukraine.
Vrana On The Board
Former Red Wings forward Jakub Vrana scored his first goal of the season in the SHL for Linköping.
“I’ve been pretty cold, but I’ve had my chances,” Vrana told Swedish Hockey News. “That’s why I haven’t been so worried.
“It was a big relief, of course. I have to admit that.”
