THE DALLAS STARS are reportedly plotting to quit their arena for a new home OUTSIDE the city.
The Texans have been playing in Dallas since 1993 and have built up a top fanbase, who still fondly remember their first Stanley Cup win in 1999.

The Stars currently play at the American Airlines Center, having moved there in 2001.
The NHL giants share it with NBA heavyweights, the Dallas Mavericks.
But they may not be stable buddies for much longer.
According to Front Office Sports, the Stars are plotting an exit from the AA Center.
And they are not looking to stay in Dallas.
Instead, chiefs are reportedly drawing up a move to the suburb of Plano.
It’s located an hour north of Dallas and would provide a major travel headache for fans.
Many core supporters are based in Forth Worth, an hour west of Dallas.
And driving to Plano would add on at least 20 miles to the journey.
That could tag on an extra hour of travel given the state of local traffic on game day.

However, it’s added the move would not occur until 2031 at the earliest.
That is when the Stars’ lease at the AA Center expires.
But chiefs hope to make the most of their move to Plano by building their very own entertainment district alongside a new stadium.
Fans have reacted negatively to the news though.
One said: “‘Plano Stars’ has a weird ring to it.”
Another declared: “Not a legitimate idea, Plano is too far from the majority of Dallas Fort Worth for fans to get to.”
One noted: “Gross, keep teams in Dallas.”
Another added: “I’d never go to a game again.”
