As the excellent Charles-Alexis Brisebois points out, Montreal Canadiens forward Cole Caufield made a special gesture on the ice after the victory.
He earns $5.4 million per year.
It’s also worth remembering that Dvorak was Cole Caufield’s best friend on the Montreal Canadiens, so his departure obviously left a certain void for Caufield.
Well, speaking of void, look at what Caufield did (last night on the ice) after the Canadiens’ first win of the season:
During the traditional “power of friendship” celebration, Caufield made sure that the players left an empty spot in honor of Christian Dvorak.
We didn’t see that coming, but it’s a very beautiful gesture.. And one that will surely make Dvorak smile!

Speaking of Christian Dvorak, let’s recall that he’s currently living the good life in Philadelphia, playing on the first line alongside Sean Couturier and young Matvei Michkov.
In the Flyers’ first game of the season, he played nearly 17 minutes!
