BOSTON — Hampus Lindholm appears to be getting closer to a return.
The Bruins defenseman won’t play in Monday’s matinee against the Tampa Bay Lightning, but could return during Boston’s three-game trip against the Vegas Golden Knights, Colorado Avalanche and the Utah Mammoth.
Coach Marco Sturm said the plan is for Lindholm to travel with the team.
Lindholm suffered a lower-body injury in the Bruins’ home opener against the Chicago Blackhawks. Sturm classified the injury as minor and not related to the broken kneecap Lindholm suffered in November 2024 that kept him sidelined for the remainder of the year.
It’s unclear when the defenseman was injured or what the injury is. Lindholm played six shifts and was last on the ice with eight minutes left in the first period against the Blackhawks.
