Toronto Maple Leafs
Forward Steven Lorentz was on the ice at Toronto’s skate Tuesday morning, reports TSN’s Mark Masters.
He also skated on Monday, with head coach Craig Berube telling reporters he could return Tuesday against the Nashville Predators.
The 29-year-old suffered an upper-body injury during Saturday’s loss to the Detroit Red Wings and did not play Monday in the second leg of the home-and-home.
He has two assists in two games played this season.
Ottawa Senators
The Senators are in wait and see mode on forward Brady Tkachuk, who left Monday’s 4-1 loss to the Nashville Predators with an injury.
“He didn’t finish the game down the stretch, he tried too,” head coach Travis Green told reporters.
The injury seemed to occur in the third period after he took a crosscheck from Nashville Predators captain Roman Josi during a scrum. He was seen holding his right hand after the play.
Tkachuk played 13:53 in the game, recording two shots and six hits, but didn’t play in the last nine minutes of the third.
The Senators captain had 29 goals and 55 points in 72 games last season while recording 123 penalty minutes. He has three assists in four games so far this season.
