Doug Armstrong, General Manager for Team Canada at the 2026 Winter Olympics, will be in attendance for Tuesday’s San Jose Sharks game.
Per David Pagnotta of The Fourth Period, every nation must submit its initial roster of 42 skaters and five goalies by Oct. 15.
San Jose Sharks star Macklin Celebrini hopes to be part of the 42-skater list. Armstrong’s attendance at Tuesday’s Sharks game may indicate that Celebrini is in the running.
Canadian Olympic team GM Doug Armstrong is credentialed for tonight’s Sharks-Hurricanes game.
As noted by @TheFourthPeriod, IIHF National Associations must submit lists of 42 skaters and five goalies by tomorrow.
Macklin Celebrini certainly hopes to be on that list for Canada— Curtis Pashelka (@CurtisPashelka) October 14, 2025
With the Carolina Hurricanes in town to face the Sharks, Armstrong could also be keeping an eye on forward Seth Jarvis. Jarvis surprised many in the world of Hockey by making Canada’s 4 Nations Face-Off roster.

Celebrini was invited to Team Canada’s Orientation Camp in August. That was the first step in the Sharks forward’s attempt to make the Olympic roster. Jarvis was not part of that camp, but that doesn’t take him out of the running to make the Olympics.
All nations must submit a provisional finalized lineup of 22 skaters and three goalies by Dec. 31. If Celebrini makes the roster, he could be one of just a few San Jose Sharks to play in the 2026 Olympic Games.
William Eklund could be another player to watch for Team Sweden when the first rosters are submitted on Wednesday.
