The season of green and red is upon us—and we mean hockey season, featuring our beloved Minnesota Wild. And this season is all about living large: skip the crowded rows and spread out in a premium suite with your besties, siblings, or coolest colleagues for a long winter’s night out.
Early Birds
The icing on your gameday itinerary: Wild tickets give you a reason to hit the eastern town early and soak up the seasonal spirit before posting up for the puck drop. With a private suite, a member of the concierge team can escort your crew from a nearby restaurant to Grand Casino Arena before the buzzer—no unexpected directional detours, here.
Need a nosh before the onslaught of edibles in your suite? Shoulder your ol’ Fleury jersey to Meritage for French fare: Get the famous pommes frites (fries served with a house bearnaise sauce). Or be a true Minnesotan and fuel your smack talk with a “Passive Aggressive Margarita” from Smorgie’s on West Seventh.
As the weather turns frightful, downtown St. Paul turns delightful: Glo Holiday Festival returns to CHS Field this winter with snowy slides, warm bevvies, and a dancing light show. Laced with string lights and (hopefully!) a light dusting of sparkly white, Rice Park invites you to stroll her paths no matter the frosty temps. On November 16, the big tree is plugged in with much pomp and glows through the season. While you’re there, scoot your boots into Herbie’s on the Park for a beverage or app, and nestle in a wooden booth in the millwork-filled bar.
After a pre-game pick-me-up, watch the action in some of the best seats in the house: Elite Seats are nestled between the player benches—talk about getting your head in the game (!!).
Company Party Gone *Wild*
Treat your team to a different kind of game night with a premium suite, which can accommodate 12 to 50 guests (psst, combine two suites for larger groups). For those classic MN days coated in frosty white, keep your wheels clean with reserved covered parking and indoor access to Grand Casino Arena.
The eats span from classic concessions, including hot dogs, hamburgers, beer, wine, and soda, to a 15-page menu with myriad options such as mac ’n’ cheese, chicken tenders, steak, and seafood—with drink pairings to match. Plus, suite-setters get early access to the Old National Bank Suite Level, which includes access to 1834 Club, the level’s exclusive bar and lounge with small plates and a full bar. For the hungry home teamers, Flynt and Kyndle on the RBC Wealth Management Club Level has an all-inclusive food and beverage package, which consists of one of five rotating hand-crafted menus, served family style and exclusive to the restaurant.
A dedicated attendant is on hand for each suite to assist with food and beverage, and businesses can select branded gifts and merchandise for guests.
“Professionals enjoy the networking and relationship building in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere with the backdrop of a high energy hockey game,” says Carin Anderson, senior VP of corporate partnership for the Wild.
Game Night Done Differently
From Friendsgiving festivities to family holiday outings that even the in-laws will love, round up your home team for a gift in a different kind of box: a suite at a Wild game. Approachable for fans of all ages, the suite level houses private restrooms, including family bathrooms and nursing rooms. For an immersive puck palooza, 12 lower-level suites on the main concourse level are snuggled into the crowds and energy of the lower bowl, with views similar to rows 23 to 26.
Thanks to top-tier catering, fans keep coming back for favorites such as the beef tenderloin and the oversized pretzel, available salty or sweet. Plus, the included hot cocoa or spiked cider bar fuels the fuzzy feelings even on the chilliest of days.
For that extra thoughtful touch, customizable merch can be placed in a suite prior to guest arrival. A family photo in matching jerseys—what could be more Minnesotan? And swag bags for the littles include mini hockey sticks, among other goodies. “It makes for a great way to celebrate birthdays or other life milestones—and overall, it’s an opportunity for families to enjoy multi-generational bonding that creates great memories,” Anderson says.
