UTICA, N.Y. — The Utica Comets announced today that original captain of the Clinton Comets Jack Kane has passed away.
Kane was the Clinton Comet’s first captain in 1960.
During his 12 years with the team, the Comets won four Eastern Hockey League Championships.
He is the all-time, regular-season scoring leader, with 333 goals, 639 assists, and earned a total of 972 points.
Kane was 89.
Utica Comets plan to announce details this week of plans to honor Jack and his legacy.
