During an off day for the Blackhawks on Thursday, the franchise debuted its season-long, four-part docuseries titled “Always an Original”, which dives deep into the pivotal moments of Chicago’s storied history. Part one, named “The Originals”, dropped on the team’s exclusive YouTube channel and is the first of four episodes that will be released throughout the Blackhawks’ Centennial Season.

Chicago Hockey Now: Chicago returns to the United Center for a matchup with the Vancouver Canucks on Friday, whom they’ve struggled against in recent years. The Young & Fun Blackhawks were on full display in an 8-3 beatdown over the St. Louis Blues in their last contest, and they’ll go for a third consecutive win against the Canucks.
Blackhawks YouTube: From the “Banana Blade” to the story behind a “Hat Trick”, Part 1 of the four-part docuseries shared some incredible stories on the history of the Blackhawks organization. “The Originals” was narrated by Chicago Urban Historian Sherman “Dilla” Thomas and is a must-watch for Blackhawks fans. Part 2, titled “The Madhouse”, is scheduled to drop in late November.
More CHN: ICYMI, the Blackhawks are currently without captain Nick Foligno, as he took a brief leave of absence on Wednesday while his daughter, Milana, undergoes a follow-up surgery. We’re all wishing for a speedy recovery for Milana and are thinking about the entire Foligno family during this time.

The Athletic: Ottawa Senators’ star forward Brady Tkachuk had to undergo surgery on his right thumb, and he’s now expected to miss even more time. Tkachuk is set to be out for 6-8 weeks, likely keeping him off the ice until at least December.
