Nashville Predators News & Notes:
The Nashville Predators roll into Canada Life Centre to face a divisional rival in Winnipeg. Tyson Jost just hit 500 career NHL games played, even in his short time with Nashville, and his teammate, Joakim Kemell, who’s going to have a long NHL career, will get some more playing time in Milwaukee as he was recently reassigned there.
Winnipeg Jets News & Notes:
The Winnipeg Jets are coming back to Winnipeg after a two-game road trip ended fantastically for them after they picked up both wins. The Jets also come back to Winnipeg with Mark Scheifele ready to break the Jets’ all-time franchise scoring record as he’s expected to pass Blake Wheeler’s 812-point mark tonight against Nashville. A roster transaction was made as Kale Clague was returned to the Manitoba Moose after spending a few days on the road with the Jets.

Players To Watch:
Nashville Predators
Fedor Svechkov’s rise to the NHL is significant, as he seemed destined to spend another season or two down in Milwaukee. With his current opportunity on the second line, Svechkov can earn himself a longer NHL stint, and maybe a permanent one, if he performs beyond expectations.
Juuse Saros will always hear the noise about being second to Connor Hellebuyck, and that might fuel the goaltender’s play against a dominant team like Winnipeg.
Winnipeg Jets
Morgan Barron has been on a tear this season, and the Jets are lucky they have him on a contract now rather than having to sign him to one this offseason. If all goes well in Barron’s game, he could be seen higher up in the lineup if he continues to perform to his current showing.
Josh Morrissey hasn’t had a ton of buzz around him to start the season, and that’s exactly why he’s a player to watch. He’s a no-nonsense defenseman who can put up a respectable point total, and he’s always due for a big play or two each game, whether it affects the scoresheet or not.
Mark Scheifele is a player that everybody is going to be watching until he has sole possession of the Jets’ franchise scoring record. He’s currently tied with Blake Wheeler for first place, and Canada Life Centre would erupt if he passed that mark at home.
