In front of a loud crowd in Laval, Mesar scored the second goal of the game, helping the Rocket defeat Abbotsford 3-0.
His performance was praised by both coaches and teammates alike.
Coach Pascal Vincent even mentioned, in an interview cited by RDS, that his young player had demonstrated great maturity and contagious energy.
This goal comes at the right time, as many were still doubting his potential.
For many observers, Mesar already seemed destined to be forgotten…
But on Friday night, he delivered a clear response, without words, just through his play on the ice.
“I know a lot of things are said about me, but I’m going to take it one game at a time,”
he said earlier this season.
