Another Vancouver Canucks forward is being evaluated for a potential injury, bringing the team’s total to three including Filip Chytil and Jonathan Lekkerimaki. The Vancouver Canucks are on a roll right now, winning the first three games of their road trip and will look to continue their hot streak on Tuesday against Arturs Silovs and the Pittsburgh Penguins. With the win, Vancouver improved to 4-2-0 on the season and now sit third in the Pacific Division, but there is some concern for a few players on the roster, including forward Filip Chytil, as it appears the club has been bit by the injury bug.

During Sunday’s win over Washington, the Vancouver Canucks lost a pair of forwards – Filip Chytil and Jonathan Lekkerimaki, with the former being hit by Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson late in the first period.”Tom Wilson lays a heavy hit on Filip Chytil.
Chytil went to the dressing room, and after review, there was no penalty on the play.” Sportsnet said.
Meanwhile for Jonathan Lekkerimaki, he was hit by Washington Capitals defenseman Matt Roy along the board and was in some pain, potentially to his shoulder area, according to Grady Sas.
“Lekkerimaki took a hard hit along the boards and was wincing in pain. Potential shoulder/arm/collarbone. Something to monitor.” Sas said on X.
Understandably, Filip Chytil and Jonathan Lekkerimaki did not return to the game and as the club waits for updates, it appears that they may be dealing with yet another injured forward – Teddy Blueger, who just made his season debut on Friday after getting hurt late in the preseason.
According to Dan Murphy of Sportsnet, Teddy Blueger was shaken up late in the third period and was being evaluated by the team’s training staff after the game.
“Blueger being evaluated now too. Seemed like he was shaken up late in game.” Murphy said.
The status of all three injured forwards, along with Brock Boeser (personal reasons), for Tuesday’s game remains unclear and it looks like Patrik Allvin may have to dip down to Abbotsford to call up a few players, potentially Joseph LaBate and Nils Aman.
